At this year’s Folk Festival celebration event Matt Piper (Swanage Folk Festival’s Treasurer) handed over a cheque for £500 to the Swanage Rotary.
Swanage Folk Festival’s chairperson Jon Baker said:
“As a local festival we help local good causes, and donate any surplus once the festival is finished each year. Any surplus we manage to create is given to local good causes, and all of the Swanage Folk Festival’s volunteers are unpaid. The Swanage & Purbeck Rotary is a great team making Swanage—a better place.. From summer fêtes to festive shenanigans, they work hard (and laugh harder) to support local causes.”
Swanage & Purbeck Rotary is a community group dedicated to serving the local area through various projects and events. They organize fundraisers like the annual Summer Fête and festive activities in December to support charitable causes. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
