A fabulous, comprehensive & varied, family event. The highlight of my year! I always used to enjoy the last act on Sunday being in the church, will you ever revert to that?

Hi Robert, We would never say never, although we will probably stick with the main field for now. But we are exploring ways of hosting more acts and the church could be a way to do that. Thank you for you time and we're pleased you love it so much.

Had a great time at the festival a few years back, will come back again if marquee events were all dog free.

Hi, Glad to hear that you have enjoyed the festival in the past, thanks for your feedback about dogs. Finding a balance to keep everybody happy can be hard, so we do allow dogs in the main stage during the daytime, but not the evening concerts. In the daytime we requore dog owners to be by aisles and to keep their dogs controlled (and quiet).
The other venues (ceilidh, workshops and fringe) are not ones we control. Dogs are not allowed in the ceilidh or workshops, although most of the fringe venues are happy with dogs.

It's my annual pilgrimage - I meet wonderful people, laugh, dance and marvel at the sheer creativity of the folk festival participants - performers and audiences!
It's the perfect size for a festival, it's so easy to keep meeting the same people around the various music sites. I go alone - but am I lonely? No, there's a friendly, family, feel about the event, and no shortage of cheery interactions to lift the spirits.
Enough said - we're all in for a treat - let's do it,!!!

Swanage is a lovely friendly festival with a great line-up. Looking forward to our 4th visit.
