Who we are
Swanage Folk Festival is a community interest company (15831138) who organise and run an annual Folk Festival. Our aim is to preserve and advance public education in the appreciation of English & Multicultural folk dance, song and music, by means of concerts, dances, classes, demonstrations and other like methods, in the town of Swanage, Dorset.
Our privacy principles
We know your privacy is very important to you and will look after any personal information you share with us. We want all our supporters to feel confident about how their personal information will be looked after and used. We:

- apply for a volunteering opportunity.
- are an artist or trader taking part in the Festival.

The information we collect might include your contact details – name, email address, postal address, and telephone number, as well as information you provide in any correspondence between us. If you contact us about volunteering we will also collect details about your preferences for work opportunities.
We do not store your credit/debit card details when ymake a purchase or donation, neither can we access your account details. When you buy from us your card details are passed securely to our payment processing partner, according to the Payment Card Industry Security Standards.
How do we use personal information?
We will only use your personal information to update you on news and opportunities relating to the Swanage Folk Festival. Our lawful basis for using your personal information will be your consent, fulfilling a contract with you, or our legitimate interests, depending on why we collected it.
Photography and Video.
Official photographers and videographers may capture images and video during the Festival. We may use these for our legitimate interests, including promoting Swanage Folk Festival through our website, social media, printed publicity and press coverage. If you have concerns about being photographed or filmed, please speak to a member of the Festival team during the Festival or contact us at info@swanagefolkfestival.com
Your choices
We want to keep all our supporters up to date with developments at Swanage Folk Festival. So we will send emails from time to time about what we’re doing and ask whether you’d be able to support us.
If you provide us with a mobile phone number and you’re at the festival we may use it to let you know of any programme changes, if they might affect your weekend.

Any debit or credit card details which we receive on our website are passed securely to our payment processing partner, according to the Payment Card Industry Security Standards.
