For the weekend of 11th - 13th of September 2026, Swanage has loads going on, and most of it is free. Come and enjoy the Swanage Folk Festival.
Thousands of local people come simply for the atmosphere, craft fair, live music, food and dancing in the streets. If you’ve never been to a folk festival before, you’ll love the spectacle, colour and friendly atmosphere.
Live music
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, you’ll love the music on our main stage.
Children's entertainment
During the day on Saturday and Sunday, you children will love the magic and fun.
Dance
Over 650 dancers fill the town with colourful displays for you to enjoy.
Sessions
Friday evening through till sunday afternoon, music and sing sessions for you to join in.
Craft fair
Sandpit Field is the beating heart of the festival, come and browse the craft fair. Free to enter.
The fringe
The festival fringe fills most of the pubs with music, it’s free although we ask you to buy a £5 wristband.
