The Swanage Folk festival feeds people culturally, the Swanage Foodbank feeds local people who need support. At this year’s Folk Festival celebration event Matt Piper (Swanage Folk Festival’s Treasurer) handed over a cheque for £1000 to the Swanage Food bank.

“We are a non-profit organisation of unpaid volunteers we aim to break even nad hopefully create a surplus. Any surplus is given to local good causes. It iis a sad sign of the times that the foodbank is called on more and more, so it’s great to support the Swanage Food bank in their good work.”
The Swanage food bank, based in the Salvation Army Lower Hall, Kings Road East, Swanage provides emergency food aid to those in need, thanks to the generosity of local residents, businesses and organisations. Donations of food can be made into the blue Food Bins found in Budgen’s, the Co-op, Costcutters and Spar.
The Swanage Folk Festival is self-funded and run solely by volunteers. If we manage to create a small surplus we donate it to local good causes. We rely on your support, please volunteer to help and / or donate.
