The Outside Capering Crew

The Outside Capering Crew present morris dance for the 21st century: sometimes flashy, sometimes comic, and always with exhilarating music.

Their eclectic repertoire includes brain-bending “bacca-pipes” jigs, elegant double jigs, a frustratingly-difficult stick dance and broom dances, all served up with a dash of showmanship and a very silly horse.

Small but perfectly formed, the team has 5 dancers and 2 musicians at the most, all of whom have won the John Gasson Jig Competition at Sidmouth Folk Festival; in some cases more than once each.

They’ve performed in America, Dubai, Sweden, Germany, Sark, the Upton Fete (near Didcot) and many UK festivals.

Each year Swanage is filled with a music and dance spectacle,
including FREE and ticketed events across the weekend.
