The Swanage Folk festival were very pleased to hand over a cheque for £1,000 to the The Mowlem’s roof appeal at the festival’s 2026 celebration event.

“We are a non-profit organisation of unpaid volunteers we aim to break even and hopefully create a surplus. Any surplus is given to local good causes. It is good to support the Mowlem as it’s a great music venue (as well as other events)”
The Mowlem Theatre is Swanage’s iconic community theatre and arts venue. They host films, live shows, music, comedy and community events, and are currently running a Raise the Roof appeal to fund urgent repairs to their leaking roof so the theatre can stay open and dry for audiences and groups to enjoy.
The Swanage Folk Festival is self-funded and run solely by volunteers. If we manage to create a small surplus we donate it to local good causes. We rely on your support, please volunteer to help and / or donate.
