At this year’s Folk Festival celebration event Mike Bonfield (Swanage Mayor) Matt Piper (Swanage Folk Festival’s Treasurer) handed over a cheque for £250 to the Swanage & Purbeck Rotary .
Swanage Folk Festival’s chairperson Jon Baker said:
“We are a non-profit organisation of unpaid volunteers we aim to break even nad hopefully create a surplus. Any surplus is given to local good causes. The Swanage & Purbeck Rotary is a great team making Swanage—a better place.. From summer fêtes to festive shenanigans, they work hard (and laugh harder) to support local causes.”
Swanage & Purbeck Rotary is a community group dedicated to serving the local area through various projects and events. They organize fundraisers like the annual Summer Fête and festive activities in December to support charitable causes. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
