At this year’s Folk Festival celebration event Matt Piper (Swanage Folk Festival’s Treasurer) and the Swanage Mayor handed over a cheque for £1,000 to the Swanage Scouts
Swanage Folk Festival’s chairperson Jon Baker said:
“As a local festival we like to help local good causes by donating any surplus once the festival is finished each year. We love to to suppport the development of local young people, especially as they spent many hours helping us to run the 2025 Swanage Folk Festival.”
The Scouting Association enable young people from every background to reach their full potential through the unique experience of Scouting; giving them the chance to enjoy new activities, make friends, develop skills, and make a positive impact in their communities. The 4th Swanage Scout group is meet each week in the United Reform Church.
The Swanage Folk Festival is self-funded and run solely by volunteers. If we manage to create a small surplus we donate it to local good causes. We rely on your support, please volunteer to help and / or donate.
